Debbie Hitchon-Twiddy has been teaching piano for over 30 years from her home studio at Oak Lake. She’s had the privilege to share music with so many wonderful people of all ages and abilities. Debbie is a firm believer in having a solid foundation in understanding notes, rhythm, and technique. Building on this, strong skills and learning how to improvise can really make your music come alive. And, as in all things, practice makes perfect!

She teaches theory and all genres of music but her personal passion is classical, country, and gospel. Debbie has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, Level 10 Conservatory training, and is an Advanced Teacher Specialist with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has taught high school music, performs at weddings and played at church for many years.
