Vintage ‘Framus’ Model 5/95 6-string acoustic guitar



A classic instrument from the 1960s, manufactured by the Framus Company in ‘Bavaria, West Germany’. This instrument was manufactured for export to the American market as either a ‘Doc Williams Jr. Or a ‘Dix’ model. It has a rather unique fan bracing pattern which has allowed for considerable sway in the belly; looks a bit rough but plays remarkably well. John Lennon (among others) played a Framus guitar, but not this one…
